Congratulations to the Champaign County Humane Society (CCHS), the grand prize winner in our Big Website Makeover Contest last fall, on the launch of their brand new website on February 27, 2012. The LRS Web Solutions design and development team of specialists has been working on this special “pet project” since last November 2011, and the transformation of the CCHS website is now complete.
“The team at LRS has been amazing, and the project moved along very smoothly,” says Mary “Tief” Tiefenbrunn, Executive Director of the Champaign County Humane Society. “In addition to being extremely impressed by the professionalism and ability of the LRS team, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the finished website, which far exceeds our expectations.”
Mary “Tief” Tiefenbrunn, Executive Director, Champaign County Humane Society

In addition to increased functionality and a more interactive experience, the new website boasts a sleek new look incorporating a logo redesigned by Web Solutions that will be used for branding purposes in other offline marketing materials as well. New “creature comforts” added to the site include:
- One-click access to search for adoptable pets from any page of the site
- One-click access from anywhere on the site to make an online donation
- CCHS blog
- Featured news stories
- Featured pet box highlighting shelter animals
- Tools to ease the in-house administration of site
- Social media links
- Redesigned logo
The makeover will help to further the efforts of CCHS to prevent animal cruelty, promote animal welfare, and educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals through sheltering and adoption services.
