Prevention First Red Ribbon Run
It’s NOT a 5k?
This was the question flying around the office after ten LRS Web Solutions employees had signed up for the Prevention First Red Ribbon race. Prevention First is a great client, so naturally we wanted to help support the cause. An email notice went out to our group and many of us quickly signed up without hesitation or question. In a short time, realization set in that this was a 5 MILE race not a 5K!
Of varying ages and athletic capabilities, we each had our own ideas of what to expect on that race day. Some of us were already in race condition. Some attempted to train (attempted being key here.) Others were ready to do what it takes to cross that finish line – be it walk, jog, or carry our friends -we would do this as a team! And that we did! We all made it across the finish line with a greater feeling of team support and personal pride.
Congrats to all our LRS Web Solutions runners. A special hurrah to Leah Hardy who ran in blazing fast time of 39:06, came in twelfth in female category! Bill Goldsberry, another natural athlete, finished in 44:32. Coming in soon after was Jamie Baird (51:50), Eddie Ebeling (54:28), Darren Glore (55:41), Sharon Hewitt (57:23) and Tracy Dyer (1:00:29). Bobbi Champley, and daughter Peyton, along with Lanae Smithers came in side-by-side (1:14:40). Pulling it in to complete our team was Brianna Hale (1:32:08).
We’re proud of our LRS Web Solutions runners for supporting Red Ribbon week in the First Annual Prevention First 5 mile Race!

Tim Wilkerson and NHRA Support Big Website Makeover Contest
By Tom McAllister
This year’s Big Website Makeover contest will get a lot more exposure than the previous year because we added a lot more speed and a central Illinois celebrity to the mix – NHRA driver Tim Wilkerson.
As you may know, Levi, Ray and Shoup has a commitment to give back to our community, and the website makeover prize provided by LRS Web Solutions is just one example. In order to bring even more attention to this great cause and to further promote the finalists from this year’s contest, we got Tim Wilkerson involved. Wilkerson was the guest speaker at the finalist rally for the contest last week, and his funny car was wrapped with Big Website Makeover logos and colors for two races. The first race
was held last weekend, October 14-16, at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona.
Three representatives from LRS Web Solutions, Jeff Enlow, Andy Krug, and Tom McAllister, were in attendance at the event in
Phoenix. NHRA fans were given the opportunity to stop by Tim Wilkerson’s tent and place their vote for the nonprofit organization they felt was most worthy of a website makeover. Even the guys from Wilkerson’s pit crew were wearing Big
Website Makeover t-shirts along with the guys from LRS. And just when you thought the contest couldn’t get any more publicity at the race, every time Wilkerson pulled up on the track for a race, the NHRA announcers talked about the Big Website Makeover in detail, encouraging the thousands of race fans in attendance to go to www.lrs.com to place their vote.
Everyone at LRS Web Solutions wants to thank Tim Wilkerson for the way he has embraced and supported this great cause. To see Wilkerson in action with his specially-designed Big Website Makeover car, check out the Las Vegas NRHA drag races on ESPN in two weeks.
